World Unveils “AgentKit”: Cryptographic “Proof of Unique Human” for AI Agents That Buy and Sell

By Michael Kendrick · June 20, 2026

“No one could buy or sell unless he had the mark” (Revelation 13:17). Two thousand years before a single line of this code was written, the Revelator described an economy in which belonging itself becomes the price of admission to the marketplace. We do not say AgentKit is that mark. The Watchman says something narrower and more sober: the architecture is being poured. For the first time, a private network is laying the rails on which proof-of-belonging becomes the precondition for commerce — and the invitation is no longer “believe,” but “join the real human network.” In Battle of the Seed, the counterfeit never arrives wearing horns. It arrives wearing convenience, solving a genuine problem — the bots, the fraud, the swarms — with a genuinely useful promise. Watch the verb the system is built on: delegate. The human is asked to hand his verified identity to an agent that will then act in his name. That is the precise inversion at the heart of the Seed War: the image-bearer, made to carry the likeness of God, instead lending his likeness to the machine. And note what is required to be counted. Not character. Not covenant. A scan. The question the Wall sets before you is not whether this technology is wicked — it is whether you have noticed how quickly “prove you are human” became a thing a corporation, rather than a Creator, decides.

What Happened

World, the iris-biometric identity network co-founded by Sam Altman, has announced AgentKit, a developer toolkit that lets a verified person delegate their “World ID” to AI agents — creating what the company calls “human-backed agents” that carry cryptographic proof a unique human stands behind them. Built as an extension to Coinbase’s x402 payment protocol, the system lets a website confirm there is a real, unique person behind an agent before granting access or completing a transaction. The company points to gating use cases including restaurant reservations, concert tickets, free trials, and even phone-number signups. World says its network now spans nearly 18 million verified humans across more than 160 countries, and cites a McKinsey projection that agentic commerce could reach $3–$5 trillion globally by 2030. The announcement closes with the invitation: “Join the real human network.”
