The Story Ends Where It Began
The last two chapters of the Bible undo the first three.

Every great story ties its ending back to its beginning. Put Genesis 1–3 next to Revelation 21–22 and you’ll see it: they’re bookends.
In the beginning, God planted a garden with a river and a tree of life, and He walked with Adam and Eve “in the cool of the day” (Genesis 3:8). Everything He made was “very good” (Genesis 1:31).
Then the serpent lied, humanity rebelled, and everything broke. The curse came. Death came. Adam and Eve hid from God and were sent out of the garden, with a flaming sword guarding the way back to the tree of life (Genesis 3:24).
But God Made a Promise
Right there in the wreckage, God promised that a Seed — a descendant of the woman — would one day crush the serpent’s head:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. — Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
That Seed is Jesus. At the cross, the serpent bruised His heel; by rising from the dead, Jesus crushed the serpent’s head. The rest of the Bible is God working His way back to the garden — and this time, it’s better.
The garden becomes a garden-city. The river now flows straight from God’s throne. The tree of life isn’t guarded anymore — it lines both sides of the river, open to everyone. The curse is gone. And instead of hiding from God, His people “shall see his face” (Revelation 22:4).
God didn’t just hit undo. He hit upgrade. What was lost in Eden is restored — and better, because now it can never be lost again.
